Why you need additional filters and coolers on your vehicle

- They add an extra layer of protection to your vehicle:
- Fuel filter protects the engine from dirty fuel and water
- Catch cans protect the motor from excessive oil that is blown through the system
- Coolers help ensure components stay cool and at peak efficiency
- Most 4WDs are not optimised for 4WDing, so additional filters and coolers will allow it to perform better when you take it offroad.
- Many 4WDs are not designed to deal with the heat of Australia, so an improved cooling system will prevent it from overheating.
- Additional filter systems and catch cans can be cheap forms of insurance, preventing mishaps in remote locations
- Components are designed to cool quickly when there is airflow (100km/h) not when rock crawling in low range, but that’s where coolers can help.

As oil gets older it becomes thinner and can heat up faster. Flushing your transmission oil is just another way to keep your 4WD in shape so it performs when you need it to.
