These 2 Toyota Hilux’ are heading off to their new life as site workers! These 2 builds (along with another two Hilux’ we built the exact same for the customer) feature nothing but the most durable gear for the tough jobs they are about to be used for. Good project management was used from beginning to end, achieving the best results for our customers new fleet vehicles.
The Hilux’ Bull bar, Battery Isolation and Driving Lights
On these two builds we installed them both with Steel TJM Outback Bull bar’s to keep them protected from the harsh conditions of a mine site. These bars have also been colour matched to tie in the look with the vehicles body colour! Along with the bullbar, we also installed Ultra Vision Lighting Raptor 9″ Spotlights and a Battery Isolator Switch on the bar.
Safety and Communication
Communication you ask? On mine sites, one of the main forms of communication is UHF Radio. These builds were installed with GME UHF and Antenna whips, providing top notch communication all over site.
Alongside constant communication, safety plays a huge role in the life of site workers. These rigs have been equipped with multiple safety devices including a Redarc Electric Brake Controller, QVEE Mine Bar Set up, featuring a Beacon light, and a few other bits including the Redarc Hand Brake Alarm, Fire Extinguisher, Safety whip and Wheel Nut Indicators. It is our customers job to keep their workers safe – installing these features will aid in sticking to that.
Air Intake and Suspension Upgrade
Both these builds were installed with Safari 4×4 Engineering V-Spec Snorkel which is essential on a dusty mine site to raise the vehicles air intake ensuring the vehicle gets the purest form of air and preventing engine damage caused by dust.
As mine site builds are pushed to their limits, we installed these builds with Pre Rego Tough Dog GVM Upgrades. This will ensure the vehicles remain safe and legal whilst under load. Completing the GVM Upgrade Pre Rego, means it is Federally Recognised.
Long Range Fuel Tank and Preline Fuel Filter Kit
The Hilux’ were each fitted with Outback Accessories 155L Replacement Fuel Tanks, ensuring that when extra fuel is required, it isnt a hassle for the operator to get their hands on. With a long range tank, the fuel is stored in the upgraded fuel tank rather than using multiple jerry cans or getting to a servo and filling up your tank more often than required.
