This Isuzu D-Max build we completed for our customer adds quality gear to an already capable vehicle to enhance the customers’ overall vehicle experience on and off-road, and under tow.
Isuzu DMAX GVM Upgrade & Extra Suspension Components
The allowable payload on most modern 4WDs seems great on paper but gets quickly eaten up when accessories, gear, and passengers get loaded in. Our customer opted to go down the route of a Tough Dog GVM Upgrade giving him an extra 695kg payload on his Isuzu DMAX! Along with the GVM Upgrade installed we also included Tough Dog Upper Control Arms, a Roadsafe Diff Drop Kit, and Airbag Man Airbags to lift up and level the vehicle if its sagging. Sagging can occur when towing or carrying uneven loads.
Tyres & Rims
Next was a set of quality Rims and Tyres. Toyo Open Country AT’s were installed on Method 305-HD Double Black Rims giving a classic and timeless look, whilst providing on-road traction, off-road capability, and an overall comfortable ride!
Performance
This build also features a bunch of gear to give this car the long life it deserves! First up we installed a Safari 4×4 Engineering V-Spec Snorkel to the Isuzu DMAX – this raises the air intake, protecting the engine by giving it clean air, and making sure minimal water heads into the intake.
We then installed a Redback Extreme 3″ DPF Back Exhaust with Straight Through Muffler. An aftermarket exhaust system can also help improve airflow, which reduces restrictions, and enhances engine efficiency, and can also improve fuel efficiency which is a win-win!
Lastly, we installed some PWR Advanced Cooling Technology gear. The customer chose to include an aftermarket Intercooler and Pipe Kit, along with a Transmission Oil Cooler. PWR Intercoolers are made from high-grade aluminium incorporating a square nose extruded tube & fin configuration which maximises the cooling efficiencies and disbursement of heat. With these characteristics, each PWR Intercooler will deliver the highest levels of quality, durability, strength and performance! As for the Transmission Cooler, this aids in extending the life of your transmission by helping it operate at a lower temperature.
