The 79 Series is the darling of Instagram and this recent build for the owner of Totally Workwear is a ripper.
Starting out with a stock-as-a-rock 2020 Toyota LandCruiser 79 Series, the Midland 4WD Centre team developed a turn-key package for the owner of Totally Workwear.
The vehicle’s owner, Marshall, wanted a real work-and-play set up for the tray, so we went with a custom designed and colour-coded Bullant tray with water tank, slide-out draw, side tool boxes, custom fillers and lockdown rings. And to make sure it could handle a load, we fitted a Tough Dog GVM upgrade and an Opposite Lock Premium post-style bull bar, and fitted a Tracklander rack up top.
To help the 79 Series breathe clean air, a Safari Armax snorkel was fitted, along with a Redback DPF-back exhaust. And to keep it fuelled on long journeys, a Brown Davis 110-litre fuel tank was installed with change over solenoid for easy management. It has a Redarc Tow Pro Elite V3 brake controller and a Hayman Reese 79 X-Bar.
On the inside, custom mats and T-console were made by Department of the Interior, we fitted a Scan Guage II, a seven-inch Sony infotainment screen with CarPlay and Gator reversing camera. And to get the thing ready for its 12-volt accessories, we installed a Revolution dual-battery system and Intervolt charger with Victron monitoring gear.
