These soft shackles are designed to replace the traditional steel “D shackle” or “Bow shackle”. Soft shackles are much safer, weigh significantly less and are very easy to use. Using a soft shackle means you are removing the dangerous and potentially lethal steel shackles from your recovery equipment.
These Roadsafe Soft Shackles are constructed from UHMWPE (Ultra High Molecular Weight Poly Ethylene) 12 strand synthetic rope. They are pre-tensioned for immediate use and are supplied with a high-visibility orange protective sheath.
Being constructed from synthetic rope these soft shackles also float on water meaning no more fishing around in muddy bog holes for that dropped steel shackle.
